Science Night

When and where is Science Night?
Friday January 31, 2020 from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM in the Multipurpose Room.
Who is invited?
All BASIS Ahwatukee students and their families. You can also bring your friends in the community. There will be a lot of exhibits for all grade levels.
What is the purpose of Science Night?
Science Night is intended to be a fun evening for all families and teachers to interact and learn with Science Experiments.
What is the cost of attending the event?
Admission is free. This event is sponsored by BASIS Ahwatukee Boosters. 🙂
Will there be food for sale at the event?
Yes, Left Coast Burrito food truck will be at the event. We want this event to be a great family night.
What kind of exhibits will you have?
These are some of the Exhibits we will have:
VEX Robotics, Wild Dolphin Research, Fossil Hominins Display, Microscopic Worlds, Atom Smashing, Rainbow Paper, Your Mind, Brain, and Body – Explained!, Food History/Science, String Telephones, Planet or Plastic, Electrostatics Magic Wands, Sand Pendulum, Colorful Chemistry I: Indicators, Colorful Chemistry II: Chromatography, Colorful Chemistry III: Density, Tempting Gravity, Corn Snakes, Sugar Cookie Cells, Electrostatics Van Da Graff, Water Engineer, SMASH Jeopardy, ASU Student Affiliates of the American Chemistry Soc, ASU Student Affiliates of the American Chemistry Soc, ASU Society of Physics Students, ASU Society of Physics Students, ASU School of Earth & Space Exploration, Meteorite Table, Micro 3D Printed Items, Electron Microscope, World Famous Volcanos and their Rocks, Egg Cartoon of Rocks, and Robotics.
We are lucky to have many BASIS Ahwatukee teachers working on these exhibits. In addition to incredible volunteers from many of the ASU Departments, Nanoscience Instruments Inc., Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum and Intel robotics.
